SEAFC “underground”
SEAFC “underground” production started on October 9th, 2021, during a moment of relax from the pandemic restrictions in Bangkok.
Even if it was filmed at closed doors and without public audience, this “underground” Fight Night marked the very first original SEAFC installment with its own name and production.
The event came together thanks to the high demand from the fighters to get a match after waiting so long following Bangkok regulations laws.
Finally the “need for fight” of the athletes got satisfied when “The Bazaar hotel” Muay Thai Gym (Top Fight Muay Thai) accepted to let us organize the “private” event.
Additionally, SEAFC received great help from the Full Metal Dojo friends who came to provide cut-men, judges and referees.
Among with The Bazaar hotel and the FMD guys, SEAFC had even more support when other sponsors decided to join the party!
For this reason we’d like to extend our thanks also to Sportsman Bar, Shinjiu Fightwear, Ali’s BBQ, Potion Energy drink, The Dojo and The Fight Commentary Breakdowns.
The Show
Considering that all mass gatherings in Bangkok where prohibited, we were able to keep at max 30-50 people within the same premises at the same time and we also got everyone to provide a negative ATK test.
Due to the nature of the situation, a LIVE Streaming show would’ve been extremely long and boring to the eyes of the viewers. That’s why we opted to use a Recording and Post-Production solution.
The whole day was very relaxed and we had long breaks between fights. We had no M.C. to announce the fights and also no commentators on the spot.

The Production
Planning for a Premiere show on Halloween night, the Martial Arts Thailand team performed a plain recording with draft editing on the fly, just to get the base to work on.
For the following 2 weeks Paolo Vettore and Nicholas “JJ” Lee worked on the editing and final video production.
Full attention was given to: choice of better camera angles, shaking stabilization, light/contrast correction, adding sponsors logos and advertising videos, overlay graphics (such as fighter names, timer and round number) and slow motions at the end of each fight.
Beside all the video editing side, we’ve corrected minor audio issues, added musics and finalized it all by synching the videos with a great commentary by “The Fight Commentary Breakdowns“.
Due to the lack of light at the gym and also considering the situation of the fight day, Paolo and Nick coined the name for the show: “UNDERGROUND”.
Posters and images captured at the event were used for the social media campaign leading to the Premiere night on October 31, 2021.

single fights
Following the Premiere night we continued our work on producing single fight videos for periodic Social Media publishing and to raise the views of SEAFC works.
Single fights are easier to share, watch and analyze. In fact, in the long range, we can better see what content our audience engage the most and we can use this information to create new targeted events aiming to increase participation from the fans.
