Operation Smile FN 2018
“Operation Smile” Fight Night White Collar Boxing is back in Bangkok!
Fight Night is a charity event organized by Operation Smile Thailand to raise funds and help children born with facial deformities such as cleft lips and cleft palate in Thailand.
During the dinner hosted by Marriott Marquis Queen’s park Hotel in Bangkok, the guests were involved in a variety of charity activities like roulette games, raffles and silent auction.
Amazing prices were among the items for sale, like guitars signed by The Rolling Stones and by Bruce Springsteen, Mike Tyson boxing shorts and full range of hotel holiday packages.
After a 2 year break, Therese Beauvais was delighted to announce the presence of VIP guests like the co-founder of Operation Smile, Dr.Bill Magee who came all the way from USA, and keeps inspiring everyone in the organization.
But the main attraction was of course the 4 boxing bouts which saw 8 white collar boxers ranging from “no experience” to professionals beating each other for the cause and for the fun of it.
To increase the popularity and the fun our friend Jon Nutt from Full Metal Dojo and FOX news was in charge as a referee for all the fights.
After a spectacular first match, a broken nose, a TKO (first ever in the event history) and a few Muay Thai illegal throws, the audience was totally involved in the show and the participation wasn’t missing at all!
